Please be advised that Property Tag Number and the Central Accession Number for books will be consolidated by Feb 16. So we advice you to complete the encoding of all the remaining books inside the Library until 15 February 2012 for you to be able to generate CAN barcodes.
After said deadline, all books that have not been encoded will be treated as new books. This will mean more work for both property and librarian: - the property will have to record the book into the e-Inventory and issue it a new PTN - the property will have to issue the book to the library - the librarian will have to record the book into the Librarian's portal using the PTN
We urge the branch librarians to encode all the books until the date mentioned above.
You can now accept and record returned resources without posting the OR details for the penalty at the same time. Once the penalty is settled, you can record the OR details by accessing the button STUDENTS/STAFFS WITH UNPAID PENALTY from the main page.
This feature will allow the librarian to properly monitor and record the movement of the resources at the library, thus record applicable penalty for each borrower.
If you want to seek the help of HO IT dept on errors you encounter while using the portal, you are advised to make a screenshot of the page that is in error. Also, once you get an error in a page, click the BACK button of your browser and then make a screenshot of that page that resulted to an error.
Paste these screenshots in an MS Word file and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org
If you do not know how to make a screenshot, look for your IT staff and get help (or from somebody who knows how to make a screenshot).
Remember!!! Pag gusto, me paraan. Pag ayaw, me dahilan!
Our system will accept late postings of transactions.
If a borrower returns a book on a date the system is not available, you can record the return of the resource once the system is back online. The return date is specified NOT BY THE SYSTEM but by the user (you) and thus, if you post a date the falls BEFORE the due date, no penalty will be imposed by the system.
You can now find a resource by using its accession numbers. To search a resource using AccessionNo, click on the FIND RESOURCE button in the RESOURCES page. Then in the filter type, select AccessionNo. Key in the AccessionNo that you are looking for and press the GO button.
Only students with USN can avail of the library privileges. If the student does not have his USN, please instruct the student to go to the USN Portal at http://usn.amaes.edu.ph/.
In addition, the student must be enrolled in the current yearterm to avail of the privileges. AMACC students must have their USNs validated by the Registrar (if the Registrar validates the student's USN, the student is considered enrolled). Non-AMACC students are not required to have their USNs validated by the Registrar. The system detects who are enrolled and who are not.
The first task that you have to do is encode all library resources into this Portal. Once you have completed the encoding of resources, inform immediately the CIO by sending an email to email@example.com. You can also inform the CIO by clicking on your system's mailbox (available in the Home page of the Librarians Portal).
The CIO will give you instructions on what to do next.
