Posted 3/20/2014 4:42:48 PM - Adding of Newly Issued Resources

All issued resources from Mar 20, 2014 are now available for importing to the Librarians Portal's list of resources.

To add issued resources to library collections, use Issuances button from the main page.

All newly issued resources are now with PTN or Property Tag Number which will serve also as Centralized Accession No. or CAN of the resource.

The existing CAN of old resources will be retained and can still be used in library transactions.

The old Add Resource facility, which you used for adding books and generating Centralized Accession Numbers will be used only to add old books issued before March 20, 2014.

Please be guided.

Posted 2/27/2012 8:57:27 AM - Report : Invenrory of Resources

A new report for inventory purposes was added to the list of available reports. Check Inventory of Resouces under Reports page.

Please be advised that Property Tag Number and the Central Accession Number for books will be consolidated by Feb 16. So we advice you to complete the encoding of all the remaining books inside the Library until 15 February 2012 for you to be able to generate CAN barcodes.

After said deadline, all books that have not been encoded will be treated as new books. This will mean more work for both property and librarian:
- the property will have to record the book into the e-Inventory and issue it a new PTN
- the property will have to issue the book to the library
- the librarian will have to record the book into the Librarian's portal using the PTN

We urge the branch librarians to encode all the books until the date mentioned above.

Sunday and National Holiday are now excluded in the counting of days for Loan Period and charging of penalty in the Librarians Portal.

Posted 8/18/2010 12:00:02 PM - Return of Resource with Unpaid Penalty

You can now accept and record returned resources without posting the OR details for the penalty at the same time. Once the penalty is settled, you can record the OR details by accessing the button STUDENTS/STAFFS WITH UNPAID PENALTY from the main page.

This feature will allow the librarian to properly monitor and record the movement of the resources at the library, thus record applicable penalty for each borrower.

Posted 10/4/2006 8:41:44 AM - Late Posting of Transactions

Our system will accept late postings of transactions.

If a borrower returns a book on a date the system is not available, you can record the return of the resource once the system is back online. The return date is specified NOT BY THE SYSTEM but by the user (you) and thus, if you post a date the falls BEFORE the due date, no penalty will be imposed by the system.

Posted 9/22/2006 10:31:35 AM - Renewal of Loans

You can now renew borrowings of students and staff by using the RENEWAL function of the system.

You can access this feature by going to the ledger of the borrower. From there, click on the RENEW button.

Be reminded, however, that only those borrowers WITHOUT OVERDUE loans can be renewed. If a borrower has overdue books, it must be returned first and penalty fees must be settled accordingly.

Posted 9/21/2006 10:07:10 AM - How to Handle Penalties on Overdue Books

If the Portal shows that a student has to pay a penalty fee for overdue books, ask the student to go to the branch FO/Cashier and pay the appropriate penalty fee.

The FO/Cashier will issue an OR for such payment. The student will then present the OR to you and you will record it into the system.

This is the way we will handle the penalties for overdue books.

You can access this feature in the Loans page.

Posted 9/14/2006 3:50:17 PM - Who can borrow lib resources?

Only students with USN can avail of the library privileges. If the student does not have his USN, please instruct the student to go to the USN Portal at

In addition, the student must be enrolled in the current yearterm to avail of the privileges. AMACC students must have their USNs validated by the Registrar (if the Registrar validates the student's USN, the student is considered enrolled). Non-AMACC students are not required to have their USNs validated by the Registrar. The system detects who are enrolled and who are not.
